Refund policy

This policy covers goods sold by Braydon Trailers Ltd, trading as BTP – Braydon Trailers & Powersports. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

Check before ordering

Please check part numbers, dimensions, specifications and compatibility before ordering or fitting. If you are unsure, contact Office@btpsouthwest.uk or 01793 239039 with your trailer or vehicle details so we can help you choose the correct item.

Change-of-mind returns and 20% restocking fee

You may request a change-of-mind return within 30 days of receiving your goods. Where no statutory cancellation right applies, acceptance is at BTP’s discretion. Approved goodwill returns must be unused, unfitted and complete, with their original packaging, and are subject to a 20% restocking fee calculated on the price paid for the returned goods. We will confirm the deduction before you return them.

This fee does not apply where you exercise a statutory cancellation right or have a legal right to return faulty, misdescribed or incorrectly supplied goods. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

For goodwill returns, contact us for approval before sending goods back. Return transport is at your cost, and original delivery charges are not refunded unless we agree otherwise. These conditions apply only to voluntary goodwill returns.

UK consumer cancellation rights

For most goods bought online or by telephone, consumers can cancel without giving a reason from the time the order is placed until 14 days after the day they, or their nominated recipient, receive the goods. For one order delivered in separate parts, the period normally starts after the last delivery. Any longer cancellation period required by law applies.

Tell us clearly that you wish to cancel by email, telephone or post, then send the goods back within 14 days of telling us. You do not need our approval or a returns number to exercise this right. You may use the optional cancellation form below. Statutory deadlines are extended where the law requires, including when the final day falls on a weekend or bank holiday.

You may inspect goods as you would in a shop. Opening packaging does not itself remove your cancellation rights. Where legally permitted, we may deduct only the actual reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to check the goods. This is not a fixed restocking fee, and we will explain any deduction.

Return costs and refunds

For a change-of-mind cancellation, you pay the direct return cost where we informed you of this before purchase, unless we agreed to cover it. For trailers, vehicles and other goods that cannot normally be returned by post, any return cost or reasonable estimate must be provided before purchase. If we did not provide the legally required return-cost information, we will cover those costs.

When you cancel an entire order under your statutory rights, we refund the goods and the standard outbound delivery charge. Any extra paid for an upgraded delivery service is not refunded. Subject to any lawful deduction for loss in value, refunds are made without undue delay and within 14 days after we receive the goods back or, if earlier, receive evidence that you have sent them back. If we have offered to collect the goods, the 14-day period runs from your cancellation notice.

Refunds use the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, with no refund processing fee. For an approved goodwill return, we issue the agreed refund within 14 days of receiving the goods in the agreed condition.

Faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods

Please contact us with your order details and a description of the problem. Photos can help us resolve it. We will provide the refund, repair or replacement required by your statutory rights and cover reasonable return costs where legally required. No restocking fee applies to these statutory remedies. A statutory refund for rejected faulty goods is issued without undue delay and within 14 days of our agreement that you are entitled to it.

Please report delivery damage promptly so we can help, but a delay in reporting does not itself remove your statutory rights. Original packaging is not a condition of a valid faulty-goods claim. Sale and discounted goods have the same statutory rights as full-price goods.

Bespoke goods and special orders

The statutory change-of-mind cancellation right generally does not apply to genuinely bespoke goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised. An ordinary part ordered in specially, or a standard product selected from normal options, is not automatically exempt. Rights relating to faulty or misdescribed goods remain.

Please contact us for practical return or collection arrangements, particularly for large items. This does not make our approval a condition of statutory cancellation.

Include your order number or other proof of purchase, pack goods securely and retain proof of posting. Please ask for transport instructions before sending batteries, oils or other goods subject to carrier restrictions. These transport requirements do not remove your statutory rights.

Updated 2 November 2026. The new goodwill-return conditions and 20% restocking fee apply only to orders placed after this update is published. Existing orders retain their agreed terms, and statutory rights always apply.
