Hire is based on 24-hour periods. These single-day prices include VAT; multi-day discounts are calculated when you choose your dates.

Box trailer hire for removals and equipment
A box trailer provides enclosed load space for furniture, boxes and equipment. The C500 offers the higher payload of these two options. The Cargo 1300 has a lower gross weight, but you must still check the loaded trailer is within your vehicle's towing limit and your licence entitlement.
Measure your largest items before booking. Internal dimensions are not necessarily the same as the usable door opening: contact us to confirm access for tall furniture, machinery or other awkward loads. Keep heavy items low, distribute weight correctly and secure the load so it cannot shift.
Transporting a motorcycle in a box trailer
Check the motorcycle's weight, overall dimensions, loading method and tie-down requirements with us before booking. A covered trailer does not remove the need to restrain the motorcycle securely. Suitable straps are included, but any wheel restraint or specialist equipment needed for your load should be agreed before collection.
How to book your box trailer
- Choose the C500 or Cargo 1300 and check that its size and payload suit your load.
- Select your collection and return dates and times in the live calendar.
- Review the total and pay the hire charge online.
- Pay the separate £500 refundable security deposit before collection.
Bring your driving licence, matching proof of address and a number plate matching your towing vehicle. Confirm your towing insurance and arrange suitable trailer and contents cover; these are not insured by BTP while in your possession.
For European travel, select the Europe checkbox and contact us to agree your destinations in advance. The 20% supplement is calculated after any multi-day discount, is payable separately before collection and does not include insurance.
Return on time: more than 30 minutes late is charged at the full single-day rate. Further started 24-hour periods are charged at the same rate. After 24 hours overdue, up to the full security deposit may be retained against unpaid charges and reasonable, evidenced losses, with any balance refunded.
